Museum of Osteology · Interactive Kiosk Initiative
Five concepts, ready to tap
Fifteen kiosk experiences were researched against real museum precedents, then scored by a
three-judge committee on visitor engagement, build feasibility (same cheap iPad stack as the
live Visitor Origins globe), and marketing value. These are the top five — each card opens a
working mockup. Full ranking below; details in ROADMAP.md and PROPOSAL.md.
The Top 5 — tap a card to demo
#1 · 25/30 · ship first
Guess the Skull
The most-Googled museum question — "what animal is that?" — as a beat-the-staff arcade quiz with streak scoring.
Committee: "the rare kiosk a 9-year-old and an oddities fan will both replay"
#1 (tie) · 25/30
Which Skeleton Are You?
Eight taps reveal your inner skeleton; the result card rides home on a real QR code and points to the specimen on the floor.
Committee: "the widest marketing surface of the set"
#3 · 22/30 · cheapest build
How Do You Measure Up?
Type your height, meet your skeleton-size twin on a true-scale specimen wall — hummingbird to blue whale.
Committee: "nearly clones the live Visitor Origins stack — no 3D, no privacy risk"
#4 · 21/30 · party favorite
Build-a-Skeleton
Drag-snap-pop bone articulation against the clock — the museum's real craft as a game, with difficulty tiers.
Committee: "catnip for kids and competitive groups"
#5 · 21/30 · content engine
Skull Showdown
Two skulls enter, one advances — monthly visitor tournament that crowns a Visitors' Choice Specimen for social.
Committee: "a perpetual social-content engine"
★ bonus · real photos
Skin & Bones
Slide a tapir from hide to muscle to skeleton in one smooth pull. Built from real specimen photos — the "biggest wow" concept, now cheap.
Committee: "the biggest wow payoff in the set"
